Hey guys, how’s everything? Hope you guys are keeping warm and eating well!
What I have for you is a popular dish from China. It’s pretty easy, just check out the pic after the jump!

That’s right it’s Peking Duck. This one’s from HK on Nathan Rd I believe, around the Yau Ma Tei area. It was called Buk Ging Lau. (literally translated as Beijing House i think)
For those uniformed, Peking Duck is a dish served with slices of roast duck with a Chinese pancake, garnished with spring onions, cucumbers and and hoisin sauce. If you’re really interested in the history or the specific detail with the history and preparation of Peking Duck, go here – http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peking_duck.
The slices of duck pieces are usually with meat (in this case), or barely any meat, with just the roast skin. I personally prefer it with the meat, as I am a meat person. =P The skin was crispy, meat was tender and juicy; combined with the soft pancake – makes it feel like a small wrap; spring onion – gave it extra bite with the spicyness that comes with raw onions; hoisin sauce – the strong sweetness makes it taste better; cucumber – just compliments everything else, when it doesn’t have a stronger taste.
All in all, it’s worth a try if you haven’t tried it. I almost always go to this place each time I visit HK if I have the chance to. You guys should too!
‘Til next time~
yeah i like it with the meat too. without the meat is insufficient haha
