Something different…

Well here’s my first post from a food place away from home. This pic doesnt look as good as the food is in real life =P

Pork cartiliage Noodles
It’s pork meat+cartiliage with egg noodles and a homemade fish soup. I had this just last night at a place called 香港仔魚蛋粉 (sorry no english name for the place, but they have an english menu =S) at Fa Yuen St in Mongkok. It kinda feels like those HK coffee shops but in a more modernised environment. It was 25 HKD (roughly $3.50 – $4.00 AUD atm) – good value for money in my opinion =) It may feel funny eating cartilage for the first time for some of you guys – but if its cooked throughly enough it’s kinda like jelly =P The sauce was kinda sweet and tangy – it was different from normal Chinese cuisine in my opinion, but it tasted better if i added some of their chilli oil/sauce. The noodles were the kind that you mix at the end – like mee goreng. =P I liked the fish soup that came with it – it didn’t have much of a fishy smell either, and was just fresh (if that makes any sense lol). If any of you guys wanna try it, and I just happen to be in HK at the same time as you – gimme a yell and I’ll lead you there.

Until next time I go and find something tasty and worthwhile to blog about….. =)
