a little bit of viet

Within any asian food fan’s favourite asian food list (wow what a mouthful :P ) should be vietnamese cuisine.

Vietnamese Pork chop @ Inala

One of my personal favourites is the pork rice! Marinated/seasoned with lemongrass, the taste is very interesting and addictive actaully! It is also served with an egg, tomato’s, vermicelli stuff, slices of carrots and cucumber, rice and a random patty..im not exactly sure of what the patty is made of but its so yum! theres actaully variations of the patty though- the original type (which was the nicer type!) seemed to be made of egg and vermicelli but the newer type seems to lack some ingredients and is not as nice :( To add an extra flavour to the rice and the pork, a small bowl of orange fish sauce is included, making the whole dish ooooh sooo very yum!! ><

For keen feasters on the real deal: head out to Darra & Inala where the most genuine viet food is made and be sure to try out the pork rice for yourself!

  1. I like fish sauce with the vietnamese dishes (apparently a lot of Chinese don’t really like it xD) and it’s different from other Asian cuisines. The pork rice will always be a favourite when I can’t decide on what to eat =P

  2. Yay for the orange fish sauce! I really like Vietnamese rice as it’s very different from the regular long grain rice :D
