Enough of the admin stuff for now – back to the food for this entry – I wonder if you guys know what I’m talking about just by looking at the title itself. =P

I was kinda surprised when I ordered this. As it was the ’special of the day’, this meal was $7.90 including a hot drink (50c extra for cold ones too I think). Being a special meal, it didn’t feel like you were eating something that was made hours earlier; served later. The rice was actually fresh out of the rice cooker, not cold or dry like other places I’ve been to (I bet you they use rice cookers, and not cook the rice themselves xD). The pork was crispy and I recommend this to people who love fried pork chop. But on one note, I thought that the sauce was a tad bit salty – you just have to have heaps of rice with it (not for people who don’t eat much rice =P). The soup on the other hand was alright – your typical MSG (pork + other vegies?) soup, just as expected for a meal like this. As for where you can get this deal – it’s at Sunnybank Oriental (東方茶餐廳 in Chinese I think) located near the Commonwealth Bank at Sunnybank Plaza. It’s not too hard to find if you’re keen. =)

WOAH i was taken away by the title- i thought this dish was actaully FROM hong kong…but yeah i havent actauly had this dish before, although ive been to dong fong quite a lot of times. it looks like one of those typical “i dont feel like eating anyting in particular atm, ill just get something simple” dishes~ quite simple and clean

Haha – tricked one person xD! Nope, we didn’t go there – besides when you’re in Australia from HK, you wouldn’t go and eat HK food =P

lacking in the daily veggies department though XD (Would the bunch of green in the middle count as veggies?)and has the good old trademark HK MSG soup!
